Billy the Kid, also known as William H. Bonney, was one of the most notorious outlaws of the American Southwest. Legend has it that he killed one man for every year of his short life. Billy lived in Santa Fe when he was a young boy and teenager.
On this tour we will walk around historic downtown Santa Fe seeing sights that we know have a connection to Billy the Kid, from a jailhouse to a church, and discuss his unexpected friendship with a Catholic nun. We will also discuss Billy’s life from his birth in New York City to his death at age 21 in Fort Sumner, New Mexico.
